Vinyl flooring tiles that are used in homes can range from basic tiles that resemble ceramic tiles and self stick tiles, to thicker, luxurious looking, marble patterned vinyl floor tiles. The luxury tiles are heavier, and more expensive, but offer sunny, natural looking textures that resemble slate and wood. Tiles generally come in 12" X 12" sizes, although larger tile sizes are also available. Vinyl composition tiles are used generally in commercial settings, like malls and retail stores. Patterns can range from marble-like appearances to solid color tiles.
Vinyl flooring can look as stylish as an expensive wood floor, if it is installed properly. An imperfect installation can lead to gaps in between the tiles in which dirt and grit can accumulate. Another important factor in vinyl flooring installation is the preparation of the sub floor. Any imperfection in the sub floor will be reflected in the vinyl flooring. Use recommended cleaners only to wash your floors. Don't leave water standing on the vinyl floor, and place mats near entrances and hallways to prevent sand and dirt from entering your house. Place floor protectors on furniture, and avoid moving heavy furniture directly over your vinyl flooring. Instead, place a plywood board on the floor, and move the furniture across it.

I am looking to get hardwood flooring installed in our condo. We are looking at aprox. 700 sq/ft of flooring. There are currently some small uneven spots in the flooring that would need to be fixed as well.
